Kansas Carrolls Christmas Special!!!

Our family on Christmas morning, fresh out of bed without so much as a comb through our hair. Kaydence is there hiding behind Jason. Our first Christmas w/o Collin but we got through it. Our humble little Christmas tree could only be put up on Christmas eve after the kids went to bed so Aidan wouldn't destroy it.
We decided to do a small Christmas this year but thanks to such amazing family members we had plenty for the kids to open. I was worried they might be bummed out they didn't get much but there was nothing but pure joy in there hearts about everything they received and they could not have been happier. It was overall a very simple but great Christmas.
Kaydence is trying out her adorable portable chalkboard, that was lovingly sewed by her aunt Lacey, Kalleigh is checking herself out in her mirror of her super awesome bouncer spinner activity center and Aidan is rocking out on his guitar that has a new faceplate and strap w/ gig bag. They all got lots of clothes and other goodies. It was a really nice Christmas.

Say it isn't so

Yikes, apparently someone told her yes!!!!

This super cute onesies was given to her by her hilarious granny. I can hear her laugh and see the face she made when she came across this in the store. I love it!!!

And his week's STAR STUDENT is.....

AIDAN!!!!!!!!
I am so proud of my little guy. This is the star he brought home for me to fill out and send back in with his picture. He is doing so great in school. While he struggles to meet some of his IEP goals, he has jet planed past others. His speech is one of his major accomplished areas. He knows how to identify a ton of items. He has started to verbalize many three word utterances such as "I want ____ or I need____". One of his biggest words is applesauce. He actually pronounces things better than Kaydence. I can't wait for everyone in LA to see how good he's doing in person.

A MONTH ALREADY?!!!!

I have no ideal where the time went, well maybe I do....
Lots of holding, hugging, kissing, snuggling, feeding, dressing, undressing, changing diapers, changing diapers (not a typo we just do it so often I figured it needed to be mentioned twice), and staring at every little feature and trying to store as many memories away as I possibly can.

Right of Passage

Kaydence found a toy and, after figuring out it looks sorta like a crown, put it on her head for a picture. She then appropriately put it on the next heir in the line of royalty. Kalleigh just sat there like "yep, this works for me".

I didn't cry too much.

Kaydence is sooo ready for school. She's been wearing her "pack pack" since she got out of bed!
These two are such goof balls. KK told me this morning she loved Aidan so much he was her "vestis find"(translated- bested friend). I couldn't be more proud of my babies!!!

This is there normal routine, she always insist on helping him. It's so cute, she has to give him a big hug and kiss. But today she gets to go also.

They were waiting for the bus and spinning around so happily.

Mom's eye view

This is the amazing view I get to see every time I hold my baby girl. Isn't the most beautiful thing ever?

Kaydence finally goes to school!

She has been telling me for over a year "I need to go to my school Mommy". We finally got her enrolled into speech classes twice a week. She will get to ride the bus with her brother. She couldn't be more excited. And I get a small break during that time to just spend time with Kalleigh. She suppose to go Wednesday the 8th.

Homemade Baby Sling

Here is the baby sling I made. I'm very proud. I got the instructions off the web and it took less than a hour to complete. Kalleigh loves it most of the time, and it sure comes in handy when she has to be held and I have other things to do.
